2014/15 Regular Season Summary

The regular season for 2014/15 has come to an end (for everyone except for our Under 10s who play their final game this weekend).  Well done to all players and coaches on a successful season.

The Bay has had one of the most successful regular seasons in recent memory.

  • Our 2nd grade team finished minor premiers, losing just one one-day game along the way, 24 points clear of 2nd place.  Well done Mick and the team.
  • Our 3rd grade team also finished minor premiers, also losing just one one-day game throughout the season, finishing 26 points clear of second place.  Well done to Kurt and the boys.
  • Our all star Under 12s will head into their first semi final at home on Saturday as minor premiers after finishing the season undefeated.  Well done boys!
  • Our 4th grade team finished second, securing a home semi final, finishing just 4 points shy of first place – a team they were unbeaten against this year.  Great job Pete and the 4s.
  • Our 5th grade Navy and Orange teams finished 3rd and 5th respectively, Orange getting edged out of the finals by a single win.  Great job to Swainy’s Navy boys on making the finals again this year.
  • 6th Grade say Mick Le Jeune’s Navy team finish in 2nd place with a home semi final, and Gav’s Orange team finished a very respectable 5th this season.
  • Our Under 15s will play finals this year after edging out Colts by a single point.  Luck was on their side in the end, with a complete washout in their last game saw them get draw points, while Colts couldn’t win against Broadbeach, seeing our boys sneak through.  Well done boys!
  • Under 14s finished mid table this year after a tough season, well done to the 14s who gave their all throughout the year
  • The 2 under 13 teamss had mixed results with Orange finishing just one or two wins outside of the top 4, while Navy had a tough year finishing on the bottom of the ladder.

Well done to all our players this year, comiserations to those who’s season finished on the weekend.  Well done to those who will play finals.  To those who aren’t playing it’d be great to see you at the grounds this weekend and hopefully next weekend also to support the boys in their final series.
