Recent Performances

October 26, 2014 | Mark Davies

The last 2 weekends saw some amazing individual performances at the bay, together with a clean sweep in the seniors (not counting the Bay vs Bay 6th Grade showdown).  In the Seniors we lead the competition in 2nd, 3rd, 5th (1st and 2nd in 5ths!) and 6th grades while in the Juniors we are in the top 4 in the Under 15s, Under 13s and Under 12s.

Well done to all our club members, your hard work is paying off.

Particular mention to:

  • Michael Manns who hit a century in both innings of the 2nd grade match against Coomera.  Well done Mick, unbelievable performance.
  • Ian Graham on hitting 120 in his first hit for 3rd Grade for the summer – well done Ian
  • Reef Bremer from our under 13s scoring a spectacular 50 not out against Burleigh
  • Bobby Nair hitting 110 against Surfers Paradise in 5th Grade
  • Rhys Marshall from the Under 15s hitting an unbeaten 65 against Burleigh
  • Jordan Renau on making the Gold Coast Plunkett cup side to play Sub Districts this weekend, well done Jordan
  • Zac Lloyd from our Under 12s hitting an unbeaten 50 against Burleigh
  • Darran Greene – terrorising Coomera’s 3rd grade team taking 10/49 for the match.

Milo T20 Blast Centre Opening at The Bay

July 28, 2014 | Mark Davies

A Milo T20 Blast centre has been started up at The Bay.

The Milo T20 Blast program gives girls and boys aged 7 to 12 the chance to play exciting games of T20 cricket over an 8 week program. With only eight players per team, all participants have greater involvement in the game. MILO T20 Blast games are much shorter than traditional games of cricket, with each session lasting between 60 and 75 minutes. The format allows parents and coaches to interact with participants throughout, ensuring the skills of the game are taught in an explosive, action-packed hour.

All equipment is supplied, there is music playing, it’s a fun environment, there’s a skill zone double points scoring zone, and all participants will receive a pack containing T20 Blast shirt, Brisbane Heat cap, stickers and more plus free entry into one Brisbane Heat game.

The cost of the program is $99. If you wish to register please head to The T20 Blast website or contact co-ordinator Gareth Roberts on 0449 541 997.
