Runaway Bay v’s Southport Labrador, our boys batted first and made 92 with Connor(16) & Cooper(9) our top scorers. Southport Labrador made 154 by putting a lot of pressure on our fielding, everyone bowled well and should be proud of the way they are playing, well done guys!

Runaway Bay batted first scoring 91, on a ground with long grass runs were quite hard to come by, consistent scores made by everyone. Coomera Hope Island White made 103 so it was a close game all morning, our bowling was really solid, we had our second hat trick taken in 3 games this time by Cooper, well done!

Under 10’s this week played against Coomera Hope Island, Coomera batted first and made 121, our guys bowled well and they are showing real improvement in their fielding, a couple of good catches and run outs with direct hits. Our boys batted well once again making 130. Special mention to Chris who put his hand up to play for Coomera as they only had six players. Everyone got an award this week for a great team effort!.

Under 10’s had a great first game back after the Christmas break with a win against Coomera Hope Island Yellow. Coomera batted first and made 95 on a ground with ankle long grass, our guys bowled and fielded well including a hat trick to Chris. We had our turn to bat and made 101, Connor top scoring with 21 including a six, Cooper also batted well. Awards this week went to Chris and Cooper.

Runaway Bay v’s Mt Tamborine

Mt Tamborine batted first scoring 58, a great bowling and fielding effort from our boys considering out of our usual 10 boys only 6 were available this week.

Runaway Bay scored 127, with Connor scoring 42 and Lachie 14, the boys were really excited to have a win. A big thank you to Chris’s younger brother Antony for filling in, scoring 5 and bowling 2 maidens.
